This is a performance that was recorded 9/21/2007 at Patricks Cabaret in Minneapolis, using an ensemble of conch shell trumpets. The players are walking a slow walk based on the Fibonacci spiral, starting as a ring in the center, and moving out in spiraling interactions. The title refers to the fact that we live in the Western Spiral Arm of the Milky Way galaxy, and the piece is meant to sit somewhere in between the micro spiral of the shell, and the macro spiral of the galaxy.
