1) Kodak Easyshare Z812IS: This camera is great. Pictures come out crystal clear. I compared quite a few cameras before deciding on this one. This one had everything I wanted with a great price that couldn"t bet anyone else.
2) Great camera: This is a good camera for the price. I have been using it for over 3 months and had no problems at all. Its very good for night photography and gives good pictures in very dim light.
3) easiest digital camera I ever used: Easiest digital camera I ever used. I bought the camera because all my other cameras were slow to respond. When I took my fist flash picture I jumped because it responded so fast. I am used to taking pictures and the subject has moved on by the time my camera finally goes off.
The zoom capability with Image Stabilization is unbelievable. I took a full zoom with a tripod and another hand held. Can"t tell the difference. Both great. Fast, great pictures, large zoom, very easy to use and Image stabelization, there is nothing more. No room for improvement.
4) Great camera: Kodak Easyshare Z812IS 8.2MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom I really love this camera. For years I had used an SLR, but quit several years ago and got a compact digital. I felt that something was missing and just wasn"t sure what it was until I held the Z812 IS and realized it was the shape and feel of a REAL camera. I"ll still use a compact when I don"t haver the space for a larger camera but for my travel pictures and scenery shots I"ll use the Z812 IS.
5) Fantastic in every way!: I debated between the Canon SX100 and the Kodak Z812 for some time and finally decided on the Kodak because it has HD movie capability and I don"t plan to upgrade for awhile and it was less expensive. I"m glad I chose it. The pictures have been fantastic and I have taken movies of my daughter swimming and they were outstanding! It looked like I was in the next lane when I was really 15 rows back in the stands and she was in the farthest lane of the pool -plus you can optically zoom when in movie mode, which most cameras can not do. With the software, I was able to splice the clips together and add music. The quality was exceptional and you just can"t beat it for the price. Also, we could get stills of the video at the best parts. A lot of websites seem to take pleasure in slamming Kodak without even trying out the z812 and they are simply wrong. If you are looking for more than the standard 3X zoom and great quality, look no further.
