Using the slice will deliver music and charge just like the full size iPod.The shuffle is small, light-weight and rocks. Let your shuffle be heard with the new Slice from Incipio. This tiny adapter lets you play and sync your 2nd generation iPod shuffle with virtually any iPod Dock. Including those from other manufacturers (Griffin, JBL, DLO, Bose, Altec Lansing, Apple & more). The slice will let you use the iPod Shuffle with all sorts of car chargers, cables and more. The Slice is designed to work with virtually all iPod Docks and cables. That"s right, we said cables. For the first time ever, you can quickly and conveniently use your shuffle with other iPod cables and chargers. No more giving up USB ports for that fragile and annoying shuffle dock. The Slice is small enough (about the size of an iPod nano base and a little bit shorter than the shuffle) to fit and work with virtually all docks. Just move the switch to charge or sync/play. REVIEWS: 1) It works, but not as perfect...: It"s an interesting gadget...both switch buttons are very functional (the Ipod Shuffle must be turned "ON" to make it work). The only major drawback is that it tends to reduce the volume output quite dramatically. There"s a big difference of volume level just by plugging the Ipod directly with a regular 3.5mm mini plug to a speaker and/or headphones, whereas compared when it is attached and docked. Even when the Shuffle is at it"s maximum, the volume control of a separate component or a powered speaker(s) must be turned up to fully satisfy the individual listeners" level of music.
I must say it"s not quite as impressive nor expensive...just a "cute little add-on toy" to play with....
