2) Does what it says: What"s there to say about this product? It plugs into an available USB port and gives you a convenient place to plug in your first-generation iPod shuffle. There"s not even a power cord--this is basically just a glorified extension cord with a convenient base--so it works very nicely and allows you to easily plug your iPod into the back of the computer instead of using a USB port on the front.

The only downside I could possibly think of is that plugging the dock into my Apple keyboard gives me USB 1.1 speeds, but that"s a limitation of the keyboard, not the dock. At least iTunes alerted me before I tried to transfer anything that way! :-)
